Horse Opera is a DJ duo in Austin, TX that plays house music

Horse Opera frequently plays for the popular party series Might Be Magic, hosted by Claudia Hernandez and DJ Brett Johnson. In 2024, they played Seismic Dance Event. They have opened for Cinthie, TEED, Optimo (Espacio), Mike Servito, Bodysync, Blue Hawaii and DRAMA and play across Austin at Howards, the W Hotel, Kingdom, Neon Grotto, Coconut Club, MyOhMy (rip), Cheer Up Charlies, Club Eternal, The Oven and more. Previously, they were residents at the LINE Hotel.

With every set, they bend genres on the dance floor and evoke the purest love for dance music track after track by paying homage to the early days of dance music and blending it with modern, underground sounds. With nods to house hotbeds like Chicago and New York, as well as far-flung locales like Lagos and Frankfurt, the pair bring a unique sound to each and every occasion.
